Narrow boat Bream was ordered by Fellows Morton & Clayton and built over the winter of 1932-33 by Yarwoods of Northwich, in Cheshire. Work on the hull began some time in December 1932. In early 1933 the completed hull was moved by water to Saltley near Birmingham, where a cabin was added and she was fitted out.
The boat most of her working life on the Shropshire Union Canal, travelling between Ellesmere Port and the Black Country.
I bought the boat in December 1999 and have lived on her since then.
